Join the BC and Yukon Book Prizes and Art Gallery Kimberley at “the Laundromat” on Wednesday, May 28th at 6 pm for an in-person event with Loghan Paylor, author of The Cure For Drowning (a finalist for the 2025 Jim Deval Prize for Writing that Provokes), and Julie Wilkins, author of We’re Happy You’re Here (a finalist for the 2025 Chrisite Harris Illustrated Children’s Literature Prize).

This event will be an engaging and inspiring reading and conversation centred around creative connections: the importance of building community for solitary arts practices is perfect for writers and artists of all mediums, and the community that supports them.

This is an in-person event and registration is NOT required.

Art Gallery Kimberley at “the Laundromat” is located at 167 Deer Park Ave, Kimberley, BC

Funding for this event is thanks to Heritage Canada, Creative BC, the Government of BC, Access Copyright, and the Canada Council for the Arts. The BC and Yukon Book Prizes is also grateful for the support of community partners like the Kimberley Public Library and the Art Gallery Kimberley at “the Laundromat.”
